What makes scent unique? How is that holistically represented in designer brands?

Brands are beginning to lean towards mixed reality to curate novel experiences for their products. Additionally and coincidentally, every perfume has Top, Middle, and Base notes: compiled similarly to notes of music.

Using Pepper's Ghost, physical computing, and motion sensors, this display (and take-home packaging) produces 3D floral animations and original soundtracks to mimic the quality of every spray.

For every shopper sampling a perfume:

  1. RFID Reader detects scent of choice

  2. Display activates a visual “hologram” of 3D animations based on chemical composition

  3. When sampling, Motion tracking activates additional animations that "bloom” and layer
